FanOS
The Ultimate Multicast Experience
Project: 6-week Rapid Prototype, Product Design, Fan Experiential, Live Broadcast Production
Role: Scrum Master, UX Design (Stage 1 Wireframes), Fan Research Synthesis
Fans don’t passively watch sports games anymore – they check stats, read tweets, scroll through highlights, and relive clips online – across multiple screens and multiple channels in a disparate manner.
Currently, a holistic platform or app doesn’t exist that offers fans the choice to select what they want to view on a singular screen. FanOS is a completely configurable, personalized viewing experience. Tailored to both the hardcore & casual fan, every user is granted the ability to modify their own screen with multiple cameras, overlays, 3D visualizations and more.
We ran design thinking workshops to understanding technical capabilities and identifying opportunities in the marketplace. After aligning on our hypothesis, we designed and built a rapid prototype within a 6-week timeline, that was debuted at the NCAA Big 12 men's basketball tournament 2023.
Working alongside a very talented team of interaction designers and technologists, I supported the initial design phases of FanOS using Figma as well as conduct behavioral interviews across a select number of sports fans to understand their sports-viewing habits & affinities. I organized design workshop agenda/activities with the client as well as oversaw the progress of both the design, strategy, and technology workstreams.
